This position serves as a Speech Language Pathologist within our Inpatient Rehab unit, distinct from acute care settings. You will provide top-of-scope practice in direct patient care, conducting comprehensive evaluations of patients' speech, language, voice, and related abilities. Your work involves creating and executing personalized therapy plans based on assessment findings and patient goals, while providing extensive education to patients, families, and caregivers regarding communication or swallowing disorders, prognosis, and home practice strategies.
You will work collaboratively with physicians, nurses, physical therapists, occupational therapists, audiologists, and teachers to ensure coordinated, holistic patient care. As a valued member of our team, you will also have the opportunity to model proficiency by precepting those new to imaging and/or UCHealth.
