This position serves as a vital support partner to the classroom teacher, dedicated to fostering an inclusive and productive learning environment for students with diverse needs. The role is designed to bridge the gap between instruction and individual student care, ensuring that every learner receives the attention and assistance required to succeed academically and socially.
You will be an integral part of the daily classroom rhythm, assisting with curriculum delivery, managing student behavior, and providing essential personal care. From helping students with physical disabilities transfer to wheelchairs to supporting personal hygiene and feeding needs, your presence ensures that students can focus on learning. You will also play a key role in maintaining the classroom environment, managing inventory, and supporting administrative tasks to keep the educational setting organized and efficient.
This is a campus-based position requiring regular and punctual attendance at the worksite; remote work is not an option. The work environment typically features a moderate noise level, reflecting the dynamic nature of a school setting. Travel throughout the district is an integral part of the job, allowing you to support various classrooms and student populations.
