The Specimen Collector II is a key role at Millennium Health, serving as our representative to provide exemplary care and exceptional customer service to patients, clinicians, and the laboratory. This position acts as a vital intermediary between the practice or clinic and the laboratory, ensuring the integrity of the collection process.
In this role, you will collect patient urine and/or oral fluid specimens, process and package them for shipping, and maintain onsite collection supplies. You will record patient information and physician order details, resolving any specimen concerns regarding billing or patient data in the ordering portal. As a Specimen Collector II, you may be required to observe collections for gender-identified female patients, a requirement specific to this position. The role involves regular travel to multiple facilities, which may include occasional overnight coverage, and requires a valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
All employment offers are contingent upon the successful completion of a comprehensive background check conducted by a trusted, accredited screening provider. This process includes reviews of national, federal, and county criminal history, global watchlists, Social Security Number traces, FACIS Level 3 searches, SAM and OIG exclusions, education verification, driving records, and a 5-panel urine drug screening. Offers may be rescinded if results do not meet established standards.
Additionally, in accordance with federal travel regulations, all employees must possess a valid REAL ID or an acceptable alternative form of identification prior to the start of employment. Proof of compliant identification will be required.
