At Scout Motors, we are carrying forward the heritage of one of the most iconic American vehicles in history, dating back to 1960. Scout is more than just a brand; it is a legacy steeped in a culture of exploration, caretaking, and hard work. We are electrifying and digitizing an iconic American brand, loading it with American innovation to forge the path for future generations of rugged SUVs and trucks.
Our mission is rooted in respect: for the past and the future, for communities, and for both work and play. We are developing vehicles that are equally at home at a campsite, a job site, or on a Tuesday commute, offering two powertrains to meet customer requirements: an all-electric powertrain and the Harvester™ range extender powertrain with an estimated 500 miles of combined range.
We empower our talented, inclusive, and entrepreneurial teams to innovate. A Scout employee is a visionary leader who seeks new paths, a knowledgeable doer who collaborates to build better, and a go-getter with unrivaled passion. Join us to shape the future of transportation and make history.
Within the production environment, you will contribute to the manufacturing and testing of prototypes featuring the pioneering Scout design and functionalities. You will play a decisive role in transferring lessons learned to the later pre-series and series production line. Reporting to the Planning Manager, Pilot Hall, you will become part of an iconic brand set to revolutionize the all-electric pick-up truck and rugged SUV marketplace.
You will thrive in a fast-paced, high-growth environment where you are comfortable with change and flexible. This role requires a collaborative approach to achieve ambitious goals, working closely with cross-functional teams to review progress, address challenges, and drive alignment. You will be the single source of truth to the rest of the business, representing the group externally while coordinating the vehicle build, tracking issues, and managing escalation processes.
This role is based out of the Scout Motors location in Blythewood, South Carolina. It requires 4-5 days per week in the office, with regular in-person meetings and events. Applicants should expect the ability to convene with Scout colleagues in person and travel to participate in events on behalf of the company from time to time.
