Specialist, Information System Security Officer

About the Role

At L3Harris Technologies, you will play a critical role in safeguarding national security information and ensuring the resilience of our technology systems. This position is designed to support the Air Force and our internal test teams by maintaining rigorous security postures across complex environments. You will be the frontline defense, responsible for the development, deployment, and execution of controls that protect company technology and information systems throughout their entire lifecycle.

Your day-to-day involves a dynamic blend of proactive monitoring and rapid response. You will assess and mitigate security threats, manage system certification and accreditation planning, and coordinate closely with government customers. A significant part of your mission includes analyzing anomalies, initiating responses to detected incidents, and ensuring that all activities align with strict directives. You will also be instrumental in maintaining the integrity of our security infrastructure by managing disk pack sets, enforcing security policies, and administering controls as part of the Continuous Monitoring Plan.

This role demands flexibility and dedication. You will frequently support night and weekend operations to augment SCIF manning during planned site power or network outages. Additionally, the position requires a willingness to travel 25% of the time to support offsite test events, ensuring that security standards are maintained wherever our operations take us.
