Specialist, Information System Security Officer

About the Role

At L3Harris Technologies, you will play a critical role in safeguarding national security information and ensuring the resilience of our technology systems. This position is designed to support the Air Force and our internal test teams by maintaining the highest standards of information system security. You will be the frontline defense, responsible for the development, deployment, and execution of controls that protect company technology and system deliverables throughout their entire lifecycle.

Your day-to-day involves a dynamic mix of proactive monitoring and rapid response. You will assess and mitigate security threats, manage system certification and accreditation planning, and coordinate closely with government customers. A significant part of your mission includes analyzing anomalies, initiating responses to detected incidents, and ensuring strict adherence to directives regarding the handling of classified data. You will also be instrumental in maintaining the Continuous Monitoring Plan, managing hardware inventories, and driving the remediation of control deficiencies.

This role demands flexibility and dedication. You will be expected to travel up to 25% of the time to support offsite test events and frequently support night or weekend shifts to augment SCIF manning during planned site power or network outages. Your work ensures that our security posture remains unbroken, even during critical operational windows.

Qualifications & Clearance

To succeed in this environment, candidates must possess an active DoD Top Secret with SCI eligibility security clearance. Please note that security clearances are exclusively granted to U.S. citizens, and all successful applicants will be subject to government security investigations. In addition to the clearance, a minimum of a Bachelor's Degree with 4 years of relevant experience (or equivalent experience in lieu of a degree) is required, along with a Security+ certification.
