The Special Education Paraeducator at Tartan High School serves as a vital partner to teachers and students within the Independent School District No. 622. This role is dedicated to fostering a safe, productive, and inclusive learning environment where students with diverse needs can thrive. Working closely with the educational team, the paraeducator provides essential support that bridges the gap between instructional plans and individual student success.
The position is integral to the daily rhythm of the classroom, offering practical training and assistance across various subject matters. From adapting curriculum materials to supporting students during community outings and vocational training, the paraeducator ensures that every student's unique needs are met with care and professionalism. The role requires a high level of collaboration, as the paraeducator communicates regularly with staff to monitor progress, document Individual Educational Plans (IEPs), and maintain the confidentiality of all student information.
