We foster an environment where innovation, collaboration, and cultural understanding thrive. Our schools are committed to excellence in teaching and learning, ensuring every student feels valued and supported.
We are seeking a dedicated Spanish Immersion Teacher for the 2026-27 school year at Minnetonka Middle School West. This position is central to our mission of cultivating bilingual and bicultural competence. As a Spanish Immersion teacher, you will be the primary architect of the language experience for your students, utilizing Total Physical Response (TPR) methodology to create dynamic, developmentally appropriate learning environments.
In this role, you will do more than teach vocabulary; you will facilitate a deep immersion experience where students engage with the curriculum entirely in Spanish. You will collaborate closely with colleagues and administrators to adapt district-approved curricula, ensuring that instruction meets the unique needs of each pupil. Your day will involve creating engaging lesson plans, managing a supportive classroom atmosphere, and communicating regularly with families to build strong home-school partnerships. You will also work within a professional learning community to stay current with best practices and integrate technology seamlessly into instruction.
To apply, external candidates must submit a letter of interest, resume, three letters of professional recommendation, transcripts, and Minnesota Teacher license information through our online application portal. Current Minnetonka educators (internal applicants) are exempt from submitting letters of recommendation and transcripts.
The hiring team includes Anjie Flowers, General Counsel and Executive Director of Human Resources, and Freya Schirmacher, Principal. Applications will be reviewed on a rolling basis until the position is filled.
Minnetonka Public Schools is an equal opportunity employer. We value diversity and are committed to creating an inclusive environment for all students, staff, and families. We encourage applicants from all backgrounds to apply.
