The Parent Educator serves as a vital bridge between families and the ECFE (Early Childhood Family Education) program at MVES/TLLC for the 2026-27 school year. This position is dedicated to fostering a supportive environment where parents and children can connect, learn, and grow together. The role focuses on creating meaningful interactions through parent discussion groups, home visits, and collaborative community outreach.
In this capacity, you will welcome families to each class, observing and engaging with parents and children during interaction times. Your day will involve facilitating discussions on topics of interest to parents, utilizing activities and handouts to promote understanding. You will also act as a connector, reaching out to families via phone, home visits, or school grounds to provide coaching and assist them in finding appropriate community resources. The role requires active partnership with Tiger Preschool teachers and local healthcare providers, such as hospitals and pediatric clinics, to organize visits, classes, and information sessions.
