The Assistant Teacher PreK serves as a vital partner in the Birth to Three division, working under the direction of the Child Development Supervisor and Director. This role is dedicated to planning and implementing a child development program designed to foster the emotional, social, educational, and physical growth of very young children.
In this position, you will help create a secure environment that invites learning through exploration and discovery. Your day involves respectfully guiding family-style mealtimes, modeling healthy nutrition habits, and engaging with children in ways that build self-esteem. You will work collaboratively with the teaching team to resolve conflicts using problem-solving approaches and attend to the physical needs of infants and toddlers, ensuring a relaxed and caring atmosphere.
A key part of your mission is building strong partnerships with families. You will support parents in feeling confident in their roles, offering opportunities to learn about the curriculum and how to extend learning at home. Through regular parent-teacher conferences and open communication, you will help develop effective home-school connections.

Candidates must be able to lift thirty pounds and accompany young children on program-related outings.
We are looking for individuals who are committed to continuous growth. Candidates must commit to pursuing an Associate degree in Early Childhood Education if they have not yet achieved it, and are expected to complete a minimum of 20 Continuing Education Units (CEUs) annually with a focus on infants and toddlers to meet DCFS and Accreditation standards.
