It starts with heart. At Monument Health, we are dedicated to being one team that listens, remains inclusive, and shows we care. Our mission is to do the right thing, every time. As part of the RCH MIS Ultrasound department, you will join a culture built on teamwork, professionalism, and mutual respect, where every team member is valued as an essential provider of compassionate, patient-focused care.
As a Sonographer, you will make a difference every day by performing ultrasound examinations on patients of all ages. This role requires you to utilize a variety of technical aspects, applying sonographic principles with judgment, ingenuity, and initiative to obtain diagnostic images. You will assess disease processes and pathology using proper scanning techniques, ensuring high-quality exams are consistently presented to radiologists.
Your day will involve preparing patients and equipment, positioning patients appropriately, and educating them and their families regarding the procedures. You will work competently within computer programs like PACS, RIS, and Vrad, while also managing manual downtime processes. Beyond technical execution, you will assist physicians in procedures, maintain quality control and assurance, and demonstrate a thorough knowledge of ultrasound physics, human anatomy, and physiology. You will be expected to plan your own work, consult with radiologists as needed, and adapt to shift lengths that may include nights or irregular hours.
