From the beginning, Starbucks has set out to be a different kind of company—one that celebrates coffee and rich tradition while fostering a feeling of connection. We are known for developing extraordinary leaders who share this passion and are guided by their service to others. As an Application Developer Sr, you will join a team dedicated to delivering and supporting technology solutions that establish key business capabilities and platform features, enabling strategic initiatives and operational improvements.
In this position, you will collaborate across IT and the business to shape solution design, build secure and scalable software, and improve platform health through strong engineering practices and operational excellence. You will lead end-to-end delivery, driving requirements refinement, technical design, development, and deployment planning across Agile and/or waterfall environments. Your focus will be on building high-quality, production-ready solutions by leveraging established design patterns, automating test coverage, and supporting continuous build/integration practices to reduce defects.
You will also play a critical role in strengthening platform reliability by participating in on-call support, troubleshooting incidents, leading root-cause analysis, and reporting operational KPIs. This role offers the opportunity to mentor other developers and influence cross-functional partners through complex, ambiguous decisions, ensuring shared libraries and patterns are improved to reduce technical debt.
We believe we do our best work when we're together, which is why this role is onsite four days a week.
