The Senior Principal Engineer serves as a pivotal leader within Digital Product Applications (DPA), providing senior technical and people leadership across one or more engineering domains. This role is central to the organization's mission of building and supporting digital products and services that align with S&T core priorities. The team operates as a customer-obsessed, services-driven platform that leverages data and AI to deliver automated and personalized experiences at scale.
We foster a strong engineering culture focused on quality, accountability, and continuous improvement. As a leader, you will guide a multi-discipline, high-performance workforce distributed across remote locations, ensuring reliability, availability, and security for mission-critical, 24x7 cloud-native systems.

Requirements
- verifiedBachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
- verified10+ years software development and engineering management experience
- verified4+ years people management experience
- verified2+ years managing multiple managers/teams
- verifiedHands-on expertise in React.js, React Native, and Node.js
- verifiedProficiency in JavaScript, Java, Spring/Spring Boot
- verifiedKnowledge of cloud computing platforms (Azure preferred)
- verifiedWorking knowledge of microservices architecture, distributed caching, message queues, and database technologies
- verifiedExperience with high-throughput, mission-critical, 24x7 cloud-native distributed systems
- verifiedStrong verbal and written English communication skills
Nice to Have
Master's or PhD degree. Knowledge of React Native mobile development in iOS. Azure cloud computing platform experience.
