Google's software engineers develop the next-generation technologies that change how billions of users connect, explore, and interact with information and one another. The Platforms and Devices team encompasses Google's various computing software platforms across environments (desktop, mobile, applications), as well as our first-party devices and services that combine the best of Google AI, software, and hardware. Teams across this area research, design, and develop new technologies to make our users' interaction with computing faster and more seamless, building innovative experiences for our users around the world.
In this pivotal leadership role, you will lead a specialized team of Software Engineers who operate at the intersection of Hardware, Software, and Artificial Intelligence. Your team's mission is to efficiently develop innovative Pixel experiences by leveraging the variety of sensor signals available on the device.
With your extensive technical expertise, you will take initiative to independently design and implement new systems, designing, implementing, and testing multiple features with little or no direction from a tech lead or manager. You will collaborate with key stakeholders to determine the future direction of work, employing creative and critical thinking to troubleshoot complex problems and communicate findings effectively. This role requires deep skills in real-time embedded software development together with expertise in algorithms to build exciting features leveraging sensor data in a power-friendly manner.
Google values diverse backgrounds and perspectives. We are committed to building a workforce that reflects the communities we serve. Our interview process is designed to assess both technical depth and cultural fit, ensuring that we find the right people to help us push technology forward.
Google is an equal opportunity employer and a culture of inclusion. We consider qualified applicants regardless of background, race, gender, age, sexual orientation, gender identity, religion, disability, or veteran status.
