Lockheed Martin Space in Huntsville, AL is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join the development of the Terminal High Altitude Area Defense (THAAD) Software within the Ground component. As a member of the THAAD Fire Control and Communications (TFCC) Engagement Operations Team, you will work alongside experienced engineers to support the software engineering lifecycle following the program Software Development Plan (SDP).
Your day will involve requirements analysis, object-oriented analysis and design, coding, unit testing, integration, and support for formal test and delivery. You will coordinate with other groups within Ground Systems to ensure successful implementation of the software, ensuring adherence to master plans and schedules. This role demands a self-motivated, inquisitive, and detail-oriented professional who functions well in a creative, high-tempo, collaborative, cross-functional, dynamic, and multi-disciplinary environment.

This position is onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility in Huntsville, AL, and requires special access. The work schedule for this position is 9x80 every other Friday off. Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees, ranging from standard 40 hours over a five-day work week to condensed schedules that provide additional time away from the office.
