About the Role
As an Information Systems Security Engineer (ISSE), you will serve as the Program Office's information security professional, managing all aspects of the organization's security system. This role is pivotal in safeguarding sensitive information and ensuring cyber resiliency throughout the systems development life cycle (SDLC). You will partner with System Engineering teams to incorporate security objectives, techniques, and design principles into complex software applications and collaboration infrastructures. Your work involves researching, testing, training, and implementing programs to protect against compromise, while conducting continuous monitoring to ensure compliance with authorization packages.

Key Responsibilities

- check_circleDevelop and maintain documentation and diagrams for security tools and cloud operations

- check_circleConduct periodic and continuous monitoring to ensure compliance with authorization packages
- check_circleParticipate in change management by reviewing Change Requests and assessing security impacts
- check_circleCreate and maintain information system security documentation, SOPs, and POA&Ms
- check_circleResearch, test, train, and implement programs to safeguard sensitive information
Requirements
- verified7+ years technical experience in cybersecurity, IT, or systems engineering
- verifiedExperience working with Special Access Programs (SAPs)
- verifiedStrong proficiency in fault tolerance and RMA
- verifiedMaster's Degree in engineering, computer science, cybersecurity, networking, or programming
- verifiedCurrent/active Top Secret/SCI clearance
- verifiedCurrent or recent DoD SAP access
- verifiedSubject to Counterintelligence (CI) polygraph

Advanced knowledge in Java, Python, Ruby, and/or C++; Linux expertise (RedHat/RHEL or CentOS); Dynamic & Static Application Security Scanning (e.g., Arachni, OWASP ZAP, BurpSuite, Fortify, Checkmarx); Virtualization and containers (EC2, Docker); Infrastructure Security Scanning and Vulnerability Scanning (e.g., Twistlock, ACAS/Nessus); Certifications such as CISSP, CCSP, ISSEP, DITSCAP, or DIACAP.
