The mission of Speechify is to ensure that reading is never a barrier to learning. Over 50 million people use Speechify's text-to-speech products to turn PDFs, books, Google Docs, news articles, and websites into audio, enabling users to read faster, read more, and remember more.
Our platform includes iOS, Android, Mac, and Web apps, as well as a Chrome Extension. We are proud to have been named the Chrome Extension of the Year by Google and the 2025 Design Award winner for Inclusivity by Apple.
Today, nearly 200 people work on Speechify in a 100% distributed setting with no physical office. Our team includes frontend and backend engineers, AI research scientists, and founders from leading companies like Amazon, Microsoft, and Google, as well as high-growth startups like Stripe, Vercel, and Bolt. We are a flat organization where anyone can become a leader by demonstrating excellent technical skills and delivering results consistently and quickly.
This is a key role for someone who thinks strategically, thrives in fast-paced environments, and is passionate about making product decisions. You will join the Platform team to build and maintain backend services that power the company's core offerings. Your work will directly shape the company and its products, placing you at the intersection of artificial intelligence and audio—a rapidly evolving tech domain.
