This Software Engineer position is dedicated to designing, developing, and integrating advanced software applications with a primary focus on Graphical User Interface (GUI) development. The role is critical for delivering high-performance, mission-focused software solutions for Department of Defense (DoD) programs, specifically supporting commercial, industrial, military, and scientific electrical equipment and systems.
You will serve as a key collaborator within cross-functional teams, working alongside hardware, systems, and test engineers to ensure seamless software-hardware integration. The position requires a deep understanding of real-time rendering, visualization, and user interaction design, with a specific mandate to interface software applications with external Radio Frequency (RF) systems. Your work will directly impact the reliability and responsiveness of visualization and control modules used in mission-critical environments.
The team operates within a rigorous engineering environment where adherence to internal quality standards and Navy Systems Engineering Technical Reviews (SETR) compliance is paramount. You will apply the DoDI 5000.02 Adaptive Acquisition Framework (AAF) systems engineering methodology to ensure that all development activities meet the high stakes of defense and aerospace applications. The mission involves supporting lab testing, field demonstrations, and customer design reviews to validate that software solutions meet complex system-level requirements.
Due to the sensitivity of customer-related requirements, U.S. Citizenship is a mandatory prerequisite for this role. Candidates must also be eligible to obtain and maintain a security clearance. The selection process prioritizes technical proficiency in C/C++ and OpenGL, as well as demonstrated experience in real-time software development and RF system integration.
We are committed to building a diverse and capable engineering workforce. While U.S. Citizenship is required for this specific position due to government regulations, we value the unique perspectives that diverse backgrounds bring to our mission-critical projects. We foster a fast-paced environment where multidisciplinary collaboration is essential for solving complex engineering challenges.
