About Year Up United

Year Up United is an intensive, one-year or less job training program designed to empower young adults with the skills and support needed to launch professional careers. The program combines in-classroom skill development with access to internships and personalized coaching and mentorship.

Participants receive technical and professional training alongside job placement support through YUPRO Placement, our industry-leading talent placement firm. Internship opportunities may be hosted by leading organizations in the Charlotte area, including Bank of America, Wells Fargo, and Lowe's Companies, Inc.

What You Will Gain

Beyond technical expertise in fields such as Banking, IT Support, Application Development, Data Analytics, and Project Management, students develop essential professional business and communication skills. The program provides ongoing support to help you build a resume, master interviewing techniques, and expand your professional network.

During the internship phase, students earn an educational stipend of $525 per week. The program's impact is significant: 72% of Year Up United graduates are employed or enrolled in postsecondary education within four months of graduation, with employed graduates earning an average starting salary of $53,000 per year.

Eligibility and Application

To apply, you must be a high school graduate or GED recipient, eligible to work in the U.S., and available Monday through Friday for the duration of the program. Applicants should be highly motivated to learn and must not have obtained a Bachelor's degree. Additional screening questions may be required during the application process.
