BXT (Benefits eXperience Technology) is responsible for the development and operations of worldwide benefits administration for Amazon. This encompasses the technology employees use to enroll in and manage their benefits, determine eligibility, synchronize with third-party providers, and the back-office operations required to fulfill, audit, and report on these services.
Our north star vision is to launch a commercial Benefits-as-a-Service offering built around A-to-Z Benefits. The Solutions Tools and Administration (STA) team supports and enables this vision by owning the complete benefits administration technical lifecycle and enabling BXT's scalability to multi-tenancy.
We are a multi-functional team of Software Development Engineers, Support Engineers, and Quality Assurance Engineers. Our mission is to implement and manage the flywheel connecting all parts of the benefits administration lifecycle: requirements gathering, setup and configuration, quality assurance, production support, and continuous improvement. We are building next-generation automation solutions for each component of this flywheel, including end-to-end testing automation frameworks, reconciliation tools, and management portals. These solutions enable us to support country expansions, onboard new vendors, add and change benefits, and test the employee experience at scale. This is an opportunity to shape the technical foundation that powers benefits for millions of Amazon employees worldwide.
As a Software Development Engineer II on the Solutions Tools and Administration team, you will take ownership of the software design, documentation, development, engineering approach, delivery, and support of new Benefits support architecture components built natively in AWS. You will actively lead the design, technology selection, and implementation of automation solutions, including end-to-end testing frameworks, reconciliation tools, and management portals.
You will build and maintain large-scale distributed systems that support the complete benefits administration lifecycle, working with technologies including real-time systems, big data, and orchestration software. Daily collaboration with engineers, product stakeholders, and managers will be essential to solve complex technical problems, design creative algorithms, and deliver high-quality solutions that enable country expansions and vendor onboarding. You will also contribute to raising the engineering bar through code reviews, technical discussions, and sharing best practices across the team.
Amazon is an equal opportunity employer and does not discriminate on the basis of protected veteran status, disability, or other legally protected status. Our inclusive culture empowers Amazonians to deliver the best results for our customers.
