About the Team
The Raven Team is part of Infrastructure Security at AWS. We build and operate software that automates physical security device lifecycle management across AWS data centers globally. Our platforms — Skyward and Red Zone Passport — handle everything from automated device provisioning and health monitoring to red zone process automation.
We work at the intersection of physical security and software engineering, partnering with security teams, data center security managers, and systems integrators to reduce the time it takes to bring new data centers online. We're a small, high-ownership team solving real-world infrastructure problems at global scale.

Key Responsibilities
- check_circleDesign and build backend services, APIs, and orchestration workflows for global security device provisioning
- check_circleDevelop integrations with internal systems for device discovery, network configuration, and operational monitoring
- check_circleBuild event-driven architectures using AWS services to process device lifecycle events in real time
- check_circleContribute to AI/ML-powered features that extract device metadata from engineering drawings
- check_circlePartner with security engineers and project managers to translate operational workflows into scalable software
- check_circleEvolve and maintain the red zone access and compliance platform to support physical security operations
- check_circleOwn software deliverables end-to-end from design through deployment and operations
Requirements
- verified3+ years non-internship professional software development experience
- verified2+ years design or architecture experience
- verified1+ years SDE or related experience
- verified1+ years developing large-scale distributed software using C#, C++, Java, or Perl
- verified1+ years Object Oriented Design experience
- verifiedBachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or related field
- verifiedExperience with full software development life cycle
- verifiedExperience programming with at least one software programming language
