As an independent practitioner, you will provide clinical and case management services to patients and their families. Your mission is to promote optimal individual, interpersonal, and social functioning while ensuring successful reintegration into the community or an environment best suited for the patient's continued well-being.
You will form therapeutic relationships to address clinical and psychosocial issues through individual, supportive, and group therapy sessions. Working within a multidisciplinary team, you will collaborate on diagnosis and treatment planning, utilizing evidence-based models such as ACT and DBT. Your day-to-day involves conducting initial assessments within one business day of admission, contacting families and outpatient providers within 72 hours, and documenting all interactions in the electronic medical record in compliance with Brattleboro Retreat policies.
You will join a dedicated team committed to maintaining the integrity of the therapeutic milieu and delivering high-quality care. Success in this role requires strong interpersonal skills and the ability to synthesize and convey relevant information both orally and in writing to the treatment team.
Candidates must hold a Master's degree in Clinical Social Work, counseling, or another behavioral health discipline from an accredited graduate school. Additionally, Social Worker II candidates must possess a valid Vermont LICSW, LMFT, LCMHC, or LADC prior to employment. The role requires a flexible 40-hour workweek scheduled to meet patient needs within the guidelines of the bargaining agreement, along with working knowledge of computer skills including MS Word.
