WSFSSH is dedicated to providing safe, affordable senior housing that integrates compassionate property management with supportive services. Our goal is to enhance the independence and dignity of each resident while creating and preserving affordable housing to support the development of healthy neighborhoods.
The Social Worker I is a part-time role designed to work autonomously while developing deep, one-on-one relationships with residents. This position exists to provide a comprehensive range of social work services that enable residents to establish and maintain safe, independent lifestyles within the community. You will serve as a vital link between residents and the resources they need, from medical care to social connection.
WSFSSH is committed to the professional development of its social work staff. We strongly support MSW-level social workers in obtaining their licensing by offering study groups, covering study course costs, and paying for up to two licensing exams and registration fees. Once you obtain your LMSW, we cover reasonably priced CEU credits to meet licensing requirements.
As a waivered agency with the NYS Education Department, your work experience here will count towards your LCSW. You will receive weekly clinical supervision by an LCSW, and typically, after three years of full-time employment, you will be eligible to apply for your LCSW. WSFSSH also covers testing, licensing fees for the clinical license, and the cost of CEUs to maintain that license.
WSFSSH is an Equal Employment Opportunity Employer. Employment is based on qualifications without discrimination on the basis of race, creed, color, national origin, religion, sex, age, disability, marital status, sexual orientation, military status, citizenship status, genetic predisposition, or any other protected characteristic established by law.
