About the Role
We are seeking a dedicated Special Education Social Studies Teacher to join the faculty at Passaic County Manchester Regional High School. This tenure-track position, available starting September 1, 2026, is designed for an educator who can bridge the gap between rigorous historical inquiry and inclusive, differentiated instruction.
In this role, you will go beyond standard curriculum delivery to foster a deep appreciation for world cultures, languages, and political systems. You will guide students in understanding the complex interrelationships between geographical, historical, and socio-economic factors that shape human societies. The position emphasizes developing critical thinking skills, enabling students to analyze media, evaluate current events through a historical lens, and engage in thoughtful exchanges of ideas.
A key aspect of this role is the commitment to special education. You will modify instructional methods to meet individual student needs, ensuring that students with disabilities have equitable access to learning about human rights, freedom, and global citizenship. You will work collaboratively with grade-level colleagues and administration to create a functional, supportive learning atmosphere where every student can thrive.

Requirements
