About the Role
We are seeking a creative, strategic, and high-energy Social Media Specialist to join the Social Media and Content Strategy team at our Melville, NY headquarters. In this role, you will serve as a key voice for one of the world's most iconic imaging brands, bridging the gap between technical excellence and lifestyle storytelling. You will engage a diverse audience ranging from hobbyist photographers to world-class cinematographers.
The ideal candidate lives and breathes social trends, understands the nuances of different platforms, and possesses a keen eye for the visual quality that the Canon name represents. You will take the lead on managing our cinema-focused Instagram handle, engaging with the professional filmmaking community, and showcasing high-end production workflows. Your work will involve proactively brainstorming content based on trending concepts to keep Canon at the forefront of the digital conversation, while also contributing to data-driven growth plans for TikTok, Instagram, Pinterest, and Threads.
This is a full-time position offering a hybrid work schedule. You will be required to be in the office Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday, with the option to work from home the remainder of the week, unless specific business needs arise requiring additional in-office attendance.
