About the Role
Florida Tech is seeking a Social Media Specialist to transform awareness into affinity and attention into action. This role is unique in its blend of creative content creation and the strategic realities of higher education marketing. You will not only create and engage but also operate within established brand, legal, and institutional guidelines.
You will own a meaningful portion of your creative work while executing assigned projects, striking a balance between marketing-driven social media and institutional communications needs. Your primary mission is to inform, assist, and delight prospective students and their families through strategic content development, brand storytelling, and direct relational activities. This includes answering FAQs and "going the extra mile" to help anyone who reaches out via comment or direct message.
The Social Media Specialist will closely collaborate with the Marketing, Web, Creative, and Communications teams on content planning. While you will work across all platforms, the focus will be on those best positioned to impact new student enrollment, specifically Instagram, TikTok, and ZeeMee, a higher education enrollment platform.
Hiring Process
Official transcripts of all collegiate work must be sent directly from the attended institution to the Office of Human Resources prior to the first day of employment. All international degrees must have a course-by-course official evaluation and translation sent to the Human Resources Office directly from an evaluation company affiliated with the National Association of Credential Evaluation Services, Inc. (NACES).

Campus Safety Information
