PBK's Immersive Experience Design (IxD) Lab is a small, fast-moving studio dedicated to creating technology-driven environments for education, civic, and cultural projects. The team operates at the intersection of architecture, digital content, and storytelling, focusing on scaling the delivery of high-impact immersive work.
This is a hands-on design position for a creative who can take big ideas and quickly translate them into real, spatially resolved concepts. You will work directly with the Director of IxD to develop immersive environments that bridge the gap between creative vision and real-world implementation. The role is critical to the studio's growth, offering meaningful influence over how the studio evolves and the opportunity to help define the future direction of PBK's immersive experience practice.
You will lead the spatial development of immersive environments, translating conceptual ideas into technically feasible designs. Your work involves creating and managing 3D models, diagrams, and spatial systems that support interactive, experiential, and exhibit-based projects. You will collaborate closely with architects, designers, and digital experience teams to ensure design intent carries through from concept to execution. A significant part of your day will be spent resolving technical and spatial challenges related to fabrication, AV integration, and emerging technologies, while supporting early-stage concept development through modeling and visual studies.
To be considered for this position, all applicants must submit both a portfolio and a resume. Your portfolio should demonstrate strong spatial design thinking, 3D modeling capabilities, and concept development.
This role offers strong growth potential within a developing creative studio. We value individuals who are comfortable working in early-stage, conceptual environments where problems are often undefined and solutions require exploration. We are looking for team members with a desire to take ownership, grow into leadership roles, and help shape the studio's trajectory.
