About the Opportunity
A respected skilled nursing and rehabilitation provider in the Finger Lakes region is seeking a full-time Speech Language Pathologist to join its care team in Watkins Glen and Montour Falls, NY. You will evaluate and treat patients with speech, language, cognitive, communication, and swallowing disorders in a collaborative, patient-centered environment. Your Day-to-Day
In this role, you will conduct speech, language, cognitive, and swallowing evaluations and develop individualized treatment plans with measurable goals. You will deliver skilled therapy based on physician referrals and evolving patient needs, while monitoring progress and adjusting treatment plans as clinical outcomes indicate. Accurate and timely documentation of evaluations, treatments, and patient outcomes is essential.
You will also educate patients, families, and caregivers on treatment strategies and safety protocols. Collaboration with physicians, nursing staff, and the broader rehabilitation team is a key part of the workflow. Additionally, you will supervise rehab aides in accordance with New York State guidelines and maintain current clinical knowledge through continuing education.

Requirements

CCC-SLP certification for experienced candidates. Background in skilled nursing, rehabilitation, long-term care, or post-acute settings. Availability for a schedule of 8:00 AM–4:30 PM with rotating weekend coverage.
