As a Mental Health Skill Building Specialist at our Integrated Health Care clinic, you will play a vital role in helping individuals overcome mental health barriers that interfere with independent functioning and community participation. This position is designed for those passionate about empowering others to acquire, re-acquire, and improve essential life skills, including effective communication, self-advocacy, self-care, socialization, and mobility.
In this person-centered role, you will provide one-to-one supportive services both on-site and in the community, tailoring your approach to yield the best outcomes for each client. You will function as a key member of an interdisciplinary team, contributing to comprehensive treatment plans and recovery-oriented interventions. Your work will focus on restoring social and interpersonal skills, establishing support networks, developing coping strategies, and assisting clients in advocating for their needs with healthcare providers. Whether managing chronic medical conditions, supporting relapse prevention, or helping clients navigate community resources, you will be instrumental in enhancing their ability to thrive in their social environments.
