This role is responsible for investigating and analyzing complex Michigan PIP claims referred to the Special Investigation Unit (SIU) for potential fraud. You will handle a combination of complex attorney-represented and unrepresented claims where suspicious activity has been identified. Your day-to-day involves conducting thorough investigations, including background searches, scene investigations, clinic inspections, and witness interviews. You will review medical notes, bills, and property damage, and may conduct surveillance or create scene reconstructions to substantiate fraud and support lawsuits.
In addition to investigative duties, you will provide work guidance and direction to less senior employees, offering mentoring and coaching to the team. You will validate the accuracy of information obtained through investigation, summarize documents, and utilize analytic tools to identify complex claims. This position requires a detail-oriented, proactive, and adaptable professional who can manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment while applying sound judgment to PIP regulations.
Candidates offered this position will be required to submit to a background investigation. Allstate generally does not sponsor individuals for employment-based visas for this position.
Allstate provides a comprehensive technology setup, including a laptop, monitors, headset, keyboard, and mouse. Employees eligible to work from home also receive a monthly connectivity reimbursement to help offset internet costs. When working from home, you must have a dedicated, private workspace free from distractions, along with appropriate desk and seating. Reliable internet is required, with minimum speeds of 50 MB download and 5 MB upload.
