About the Role
The Sign Language Interpreter plays a vital role in facilitating communication between deaf and hard-of-hearing students and the broader school community. This position is essential for ensuring equal access to the curriculum within both general and special education environments. By interpreting and transliterating spoken material, you will help create inclusive learning environments that encourage full participation from all students.
In this role, you will work closely with teachers, special education coordinators, and staff to adapt instructional materials and support classroom activities. You will be part of a mission-driven team that makes a real difference in students' lives every day. The position offers a unique work-life balance with summers off while maintaining year-round pay, alongside opportunities to pick up additional summer work.
Hiring Process & Application
Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship now or in the future; NIA is unable to sponsor work visas (H-1B, J-1, etc.) or transfer sponsorship. This position is for the 2026-2027 School year.
