This position serves as a critical support pillar for our rental fleet, ensuring that earth-moving, aerial, landscaping, and material handling equipment remains in optimal, rental-ready condition. The role exists to minimize downtime on job sites through rigorous preventive maintenance, thorough pre-delivery inspections, and rapid troubleshooting of mechanical issues.
You will be responsible for the full lifecycle of equipment readiness, from basic repairs and preventive maintenance schedules to the deployment of machines to stores. Your day-to-day involves a blend of hands-on mechanical work and digital documentation, ensuring that every unit is safe, functional, and properly logged before it reaches a customer.
The role is based in a shop and yard environment where you will regularly interact with moving machinery, loud noise, and various fluids. While the workspace is generally comfortable, you should be prepared for exposure to temperature extremes and fumes. The position requires physical stamina, including the ability to stand, walk, and lift moderate weights (8-20 pounds) regularly. You will also operate forklifts to load and unload equipment and materials within the facility.
You will report directly to the Rental Regional Manager. This is an individual contributor role with no direct reports, allowing you to focus entirely on technical execution and fleet reliability.
Candidates must be at least 18 years old and legally permitted to work in the United States. While a high school diploma or GED is the standard educational baseline, we value practical experience and a strong work ethic. We are looking for individuals who are action-oriented, tech-savvy, and capable of communicating technical concepts clearly to diverse audiences.
We are committed to creating a diverse and inclusive environment. All qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, gender, gender identity or expression, sexual orientation, national origin, genetics, disability, age, or veteran status.
