About the Role
The Hourly Shift Coordinator (HSC) serves as the Shift Leader, acting as the operational anchor for the restaurant during assigned shifts. Focused on delivering sales and profit results, this role is dedicated to excellence in profitability, guest experience, team development, and operations. Working under the direction of the Restaurant General Manager (RGM) and alongside the Assistant Manager, the HSC directly manages a team of Team Members to drive key performance outcomes.
Day in the Life
As the Shift Leader, you will set the tone for the entire shift by working hard to implement the shift plan and leading by example. Your day involves directing the efficient and accurate preparation and sale of products to ensure prompt delivery within established speed of service guidelines. You will motivate Team Members at each workstation, ensuring they provide accurate, fast, and friendly service in clean surroundings that exceed guest expectations.
Beyond the floor, you will maintain operational integrity by following all cash control and security procedures, managing inventory through daily and weekly inspections, and receiving truck orders. You will also review restaurant results to identify successes and areas for improvement, providing continuous coaching and feedback to increase the team's capabilities and raise overall restaurant performance.
