Garratt-Callahan is a family-owned, private water treatment chemical company with a 120-year history of stability and profitability. We have never undergone an ownership change or a layoff in our history, and our last unprofitable year was during World War II. Headquartered in Burlingame, California, we operate five chemical plants in the USA and employ technical salespeople in every state, as well as in the Caribbean.
Our mission is to treat industrial boilers and cooling towers to keep them energy-efficient and environmentally friendly. We offer one of the most advanced product lines in the industry, including our industry-leading "green" solutions, G-C GreenTech. We are registered to ISO 9001:2015 and pride ourselves on being a fiercely private, family-friendly organization with a 30-year history of maintaining the same commission plan.
This position serves as a critical bridge between our technical expertise and our clients, primarily large-scale data centers in Reno and Northern Nevada. As a Technical Sales Support Service Technician, you will maintain our existing customer base while performing essential water treatment tests and overseeing the chemical cleaning, passivation, and flushing of primary cooling loops during the construction phase of new facilities.
You will work with the freedom of a home-based role, training alongside veteran Territory Managers in your territory. The career track for this role is designed to prepare you to become a Territory Manager, a position eligible for unlimited commission and year-end bonuses. You will act as the on-site technical lead, coordinating with mechanical contractors to ensure water chemistry meets stringent, time-sensitive specifications while managing logistics and documentation.
