We are looking for the right people—those who want to innovate, achieve, grow, and lead. As one of the world's largest providers of products and services to the global energy industry, we attract and retain top talent by investing in our employees and empowering them to develop their careers. Experience the challenges, rewards, and opportunities of working within our Operations team, where your contributions directly impact cost containment, efficiency, and profitability.
This position serves as a critical link in our cementing service operations, operating under direct supervision to ensure the safe and effective execution of field services. You will be responsible for rigging up and down cementing service equipment, managing the spotting of storage vessels, and pre-mixing spacer fluids. The role requires a keen understanding of on-the-fly additive mixing and the planning of emergency backup equipment and contingencies.
A significant portion of your day will involve performing pre-job calculations related to pipe capacities, volume and height math, plug landing pressures, and hydrostatic and differential pressures. You will also be tasked with completing necessary documents, reports, and forms to ensure accurate record-keeping of all cementing services performed.
Beyond technical execution, you will play a mentorship role by training and guiding operator assistants. This includes instructing them on pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections, as well as the operation of complex equipment such as cement pumping systems, blenders, liquid additive metering systems, and data acquisition tools. You will demonstrate knowledge of various products, including cementing blends, spacer fluid systems, and multiple stage cementing tools, while interpreting basic lab test data to ensure operational success.
Safety and environmental consciousness are paramount in this role. You will actively promote safety awareness, comply with all Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) regulations, and participate in quality improvement processes. Given the nature of oil field service work, effective communication with team members and stakeholders is essential.
Candidates with qualifications that exceed the minimum job requirements will be considered for higher-level roles based on their experience, additional job requirements, and business needs. Depending on your education, experience, and skill level, opportunities may also be available for Service Operator I or Service Operator II positions.
