Butler Machinery is a family-owned business that has been serving the industry for over 70 years. As a three-generation family business, we currently employ over 800 associates across 20 locations in North Dakota, South Dakota, Montana, and Nebraska. We are dedicated to being an industry-leading equipment provider and are looking for self-motivated, forward-thinking individuals to join our team and contribute to our continued success.
As a Service Advisor, you will be the vital link between our customers, service technicians, and the Service Manager. In this proactive role, you will coordinate and schedule technician time, manage invoicing for work orders, and serve as the primary communicator for quotes, job status, and scheduling. You will ensure that contracted services are completed within the correct hour and date ranges by monitoring equipment hours and generator service schedules.
Your day will involve assigning jobs to technicians based on their specific skills and knowledge, while also scheduling regional resources efficiently. You will support the Service Manager in preparing accurate quotes and estimates for Customer Value Agreements (CVAs) and Goldstar service contracts, often validating requirements through on-site customer visits. Additionally, you will act as a backup for the Service Manager, handle after-hours calls on a rotating basis, and collaborate with systems coordinators and project managers for generator start-ups.
Beyond operational duties, you will foster a positive working environment by coaching employees, recognizing performance, and resolving customer concerns promptly. You are expected to uphold our company's vision, mission, and values while maintaining a professional image in all customer and community interactions.
We are seeking individuals who are eager to grow professionally with us. If you are interested in starting your career with our team, please submit your application to join our family business.
We offer a comprehensive full benefits package designed to support our associates. This includes a generous retirement plan with a 10% guaranteed annual employer contribution and an additional 5% discretionary contribution once eligibility is met, with no minimum required contributions from your pocket. Our benefits also cover health, dental, and vision insurance options, a Health Savings Account with employer contributions, paid time off, and 7 company-paid holidays.
