Join the Common Man team as a Server, where your primary mission is to deliver professional, hospitable, and exceptional food and beverage service. You will be the face of the restaurant, responsible for creating memorable dining experiences for every guest while ensuring the smooth operation of the floor.
In this active, fast-paced environment, you will manage three to four tables at a time, guiding guests from seating to departure. Your day involves mastering the menu's food and beverage preparations, accurately processing orders and payments, and maintaining a clean, welcoming atmosphere. You will interact with guests in a friendly and efficient manner, striving to exceed their expectations at every turn.
A key part of your responsibility is ensuring safety and compliance. You will verify guest identification to enforce legal drinking age regulations and monitor alcohol consumption to promote responsible service. Whether offering a taxi to a guest who has had too much to drink or politely refusing service, you will handle these situations with professionalism. Additionally, you must maintain a neat uniform and personal hygiene, reflecting the high standards of the Common Man brand.
This position operates within a lively restaurant setting where the noise level can be loud. The role is physically demanding, requiring frequent standing, walking, bending, kneeling, and stooping. You may occasionally lift products weighing up to 20 pounds. The environment includes standard kitchen and dining hazards such as cuts, slips, trips, falls, and burns, making frequent hand washing and safety awareness essential.
Candidates with prior server experience are preferred. Please note that this role requires long hours, including frequent weekend and holiday shifts, and no travel is expected.
