Northrop Grumman Defense Systems is seeking a Systems Engineering Manager 3 - Electromagnetic Environmental Effects (E3) to oversee the E3 team within the SET Specialty Engineering directorate. This position will support the Sentinel program and may be located in Huntsville, AL or Roy, UT.
As the Sentinel E3 Manager, you will lead a team of 30-40 engineers, ensuring the successful execution of E3-specific technical tasking. You will work closely with program leadership, technical leaders, business management, the engineering homeroom, and directly with the customer. This role requires leading teams in a fluid environment, encouraging teamwork with customers, NGC teams, and suppliers to meet program objectives. A high degree of skill in critical decision-making is imperative to perform in this environment.

10+ years of related experience. 7 years of direct experience on technical teams working a complex system of systems. Proven leadership, problem-solving skills, strong work ethic, and excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to manage customer relationships and build consensus. Minimum of 3 years in a formal management position leading a team of engineers. Demonstrated ability to lead large teams of technical professionals (30+). Excellent leadership and communication skills with the ability to brief Segment, Program, and Customer leadership. Experience working across multiple functional organizations (Engineering, Manufacturing, Global Supply Chain, Logistics, etc.). Experience as an Engineering Leader in all phases of acquisition, design, integration, and execution. Familiarity with Northrop Grumman build execution, processes, procedures, tools, and metrics. Ability to thrive in a fast-paced work environment with high expectations. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Experience in system sell-off and delivery to the customer. Experience with Confluence and Jira, or equivalent agile programs.
