As the Senior/Principal Lead Delivery Engineer for Aerospace, you will own customer outcomes for Luminary's aerospace engagements, spanning established OEMs and the next generation of companies building the future of flight and space. This is a unique dual-hat role combining project management and product management to lead a matrixed value delivery team. Your mission is to translate the most complex challenges in aircraft design, propulsion, aeroelasticity, and certification-relevant analysis into Physics AI solutions.
You will partner with the Go-To-Market (GTM) team on account engagement and growth, ensuring that technical delivery aligns seamlessly with business objectives. This role is designed for a leader who embraces co-engineering, working side-by-side with customers to develop use cases, share knowledge, and build trust through visible, collaborative work. You will bring market and customer signals back to Product and Research, directly shaping Luminary's roadmap for aerospace use cases.
You will operate as a hands-on leader, debugging models, restructuring data pipelines, and prototyping workflow integrations where it matters most. Rather than leading from slides, you will lead from the front, running sprints and milestones while managing risks and removing blockers for your team of Applications Engineers, Applied AI/ML Scientists, Data and Platform Engineers, and product engineers. Your day involves authoring Statements of Work (SOWs), educating customers on engagement plans, and owning delivery accountability. You will balance the technical depth required to shape product intuition with the strategic vision to sequence work and choose the right use cases for the future.
