Cardinal Health's Information Technology function anticipates, plans, and delivers strategies that enable operations and drive business value. The Application Development & Maintenance team operates within a cross-functional environment, adhering to established design control processes and good engineering practices to develop, enhance, and sustain the organization's software systems. This group partners closely with business leaders to investigate user needs and conduct regular assessments, ensuring that internal and externally-facing business requirements are met through configuration and coding of end-user applications, systems, databases, and websites.
This position serves as a critical link between technical operations and business continuity within our distribution centers. You will provide Tier 2 and Tier 3 application support for mission-critical warehouse systems, including Manhattan Active Warehouse Management, CMS, SYNQ, Auto Store, SLAM, and Numina. Your day-to-day involves troubleshooting production incidents, analyzing root causes, and coordinating resolutions with internal teams and vendors to ensure system availability and rapid service restoration.
Beyond incident management, you will translate business issues, defects, and enhancement requests into clear functional requirements. You will support small enhancements through validation, testing, and deployment coordination, while assisting with defect prioritization and backlog management. The role requires close collaboration with engineering, security, infrastructure, and network teams to ensure compliance with IT controls, change management, and release governance processes. You will also maintain functional documentation and support runbooks, identifying opportunities to improve support processes and system stability while contributing to the mentoring of junior analysts.
