We are seeking a Senior UI/UX Designer to shape the user experience and visual direction of our Mission Control software suite. Embedded within the Mission Control Software team, you will design intuitive, scalable, and operationally effective interfaces for complex aerospace workflows. This role goes beyond visual execution; you will lead discovery efforts, synthesize user feedback, define design priorities, and contribute to product planning. You will be expected to operate comfortably in ambiguous problem spaces, asking the right questions to turn complex technical systems into approachable, high-confidence user experiences.
You will partner closely with mission operators, customers, product stakeholders, and frontend engineers to deeply understand user needs. Your day-to-day involves translating operational workflows into clear product experiences, ensuring our applications are designed with usability, consistency, and long-term scalability in mind. You will own the design process from research and concept development through high-fidelity Figma designs, engineering handoff, and post-release feedback loops. Additionally, you will mentor teammates through thoughtful design critique and collaboration, helping the team move from simply building interfaces to building coherent, operator-centered product experiences.
This position is based on-site at our Irvine, CA headquarters. A successful candidate will help the team reduce ambiguity and create systems that scale across our Mission Control software ecosystem, delivering software that mission operators can trust in high-consequence environments.
We are committed to a fair and transparent hiring process. We look for candidates who can demonstrate their ability to navigate complex technical domains and communicate design rationale effectively to both technical and non-technical audiences. Please submit your portfolio and resume to demonstrate your end-to-end product design work for complex software applications.
This position may include access to technology and/or software source code subject to U.S. export controls. To conform to U.S. Government export regulations, applicants must be a U.S. citizen or national, a U.S. lawful permanent resident (green card holder), a Refugee under 8 U.S.C. § 1157, or an Asylee under 8 U.S.C. § 1158, or be eligible to obtain the required authorizations from the U.S. Department of State.
