The Senior Superintendent I serves as a pivotal leader on-site, responsible for the coordination of project site work activities and the supervision of on-site work teams across multiple construction projects or large, complex builds. This role is designed for a professional who thrives in an ever-changing environment, requiring flexibility, resourcefulness, and proactive problem-solving.
In this position, you will anticipate critical issues and opportunities as they arise, bringing creative solutions to the table. You will act as a bridge between various departments, engineers, and stakeholders to ensure materials, equipment, and inspections align with the project schedule. Beyond technical oversight, the role involves coaching and mentoring field personnel, establishing a culture of teamwork, and implementing Mortenson's Zero Injury Safety Program. You will manage open shop and union issues while maintaining strong relationships with customers, architects, and subcontractors.
