About the Role

As a key member of a large and varied team consisting of physicians, nurses, allied health personnel, and community members, you will provide direct patient care across a variety of diagnostic categories. Your caseload may include both adult and pediatric inpatients and outpatients.
Beyond clinical duties, this role serves as a mentor to new staff members, rehabilitation technicians, volunteers, and students. You will actively participate in departmental committees, serve as a speaker for educational programs, and engage in process improvement and quality initiatives. This position is designed for a professional who demonstrates advanced clinical expertise in a specialty area and is eager to foster a positive learning environment for observers and colleagues.

Key Responsibilities
- check_circleMentor new staff, rehabilitation technicians, volunteers, and students
- check_circleProvide clinical education and learning opportunities to department staff
- check_circleServe on departmental committees and participate in quality improvement initiatives
- check_circleMeet departmental productivity standards and document productivity in a timely manner
- check_circleCoordinate appropriate follow-up care for patients post-discharge
- check_circleImplement and modify patient treatment plans based on current clinical theory and practice
- check_circleConduct patient evaluations, re-evaluations, and discharge planning according to department policies
- check_circleDocument treatment plans, assessment findings, and bill for services accurately
Requirements
- verifiedMasters in Speech Pathology
- verifiedBLS-I, BLS, or ARC-BLS certification
- verifiedSLP - Speech Language Pathologist license
- verifiedMinimum 5 years experience in Speech Pathology
