LMI is a new breed of digital solutions provider dedicated to accelerating government impact with innovation and speed. We invest in technology and prototypes ahead of need, bringing commercial-grade platforms and mission-ready software to federal agencies at commercial speed. Leveraging our proven expertise in federal deployment and strategic relationships, we serve the defense, space, healthcare, and energy sectors, helping agencies navigate complexity and outpace change. Our focus on agility and collaboration ensures we deliver impactful results that strengthen missions and drive lasting value.
We are seeking a Senior Solutions Architect to join our innovative team in developing and deploying a real-time asset tracking solution for the U.S. Department of Defense (DoD). This role is critical to evolving and implementing a scalable platform that integrates active RFID (aRFID) and passive RFID (pRFID) hardware, mesh and IoT devices, modern cloud computing environments, and high-impact software applications.
In this position, you will serve as a bridge between mission requirements and technical execution. You will engage with representatives from the U.S. Navy and other critical DoD organizations to translate complex operational needs into robust technical solutions. Your day-to-day involves providing technical oversight for the deployment of cutting-edge asset tracking systems, conducting technical reviews to ensure conformance with contract requirements and best practices, and leading efforts to communicate technical delivery information effectively to both internal stakeholders and key customer representatives.
A significant portion of your focus will be ensuring compliance with the Risk Management Framework (RMF) and Authority to Operate (ATO) activities. This includes drafting system architecture documentation, managing system security controls, establishing Plans of Action and Milestones (POAMs), and coordinating closely with Information System Security Managers (ISSMs) and Information System Security Officers (ISSOs). You will also mentor junior or non-technical staff and collaborate with senior leaders to ensure technical objectives are met.
The ideal candidate is a problem-solver with a bias for action, possessing deep expertise in software development and a strong understanding of RFID or IoT systems. You will bring a passion for driving technological modernization in support of U.S. warfighters and the ability to communicate effectively with diverse internal and external stakeholders. This position is located in Mechanicsburg, PA, and requires a Secret clearance.
