Cox Automotive is seeking a Senior Full Stack Software Engineer to join our agile development team in Atlanta, GA. We are a group of curious, adaptable engineers who thrive in a fast-paced environment. Our mission is to drive technical excellence and champion best practices in cloud-native, DevOps-focused software engineering. We are particularly excited about exploring emerging technologies, especially artificial intelligence (AI), to help drive the next generation of our core products.
As a senior team member, you will be a catalyst for innovation and quality. You will partner closely with product owners, QA engineers, and cross-functional teams to design, develop, and deploy robust, scalable software solutions. This role is designed for someone who enjoys working across the stack and is eager to incorporate AI capabilities to improve code quality, deployment processes, and overall engineering innovation.
In this position, you will take full ownership of features or systems, proactively identifying and solving problems while influencing architectural decisions. You will mentor junior and mid-level engineers through technical guidance and peer programming, fostering a culture of continuous learning and career growth. Your day-to-day will involve collaborating within a Scrum or Kanban environment, breaking down complex epics into technical tasks, and ensuring the reliability of our cloud infrastructure within AWS.
We value transparency and efficiency in our hiring journey. While specific steps may vary, candidates can generally expect a process that includes an initial conversation to discuss background and role fit, followed by technical assessments to evaluate problem-solving skills and architectural understanding. The final stages involve team collaboration sessions to ensure a strong cultural and technical alignment before an offer is extended.
At Cox Automotive, we believe in the power of diverse perspectives. We are an Equal Opportunity Employer (EOE) and consider qualified applicants regardless of background, including disability and veteran status. We foster an environment where adaptability is key, encouraging team members to pivot easily when priorities shift while maintaining a focus on long-term technical strategy and innovation.
