The Software organization develops software applications, including integration and test for missiles, launchers, radars, naval systems, fire control, and other complex systems. Our precision software and firmware integrate operating systems, device drivers, networking, and control software to bring together sensor, guidance, and flight control processing features to complete the mission. The Software org consists of several Centers located across the country, responsible for all aspects of the software development lifecycle. Our 4,000+ software engineers design, develop, and build innovative solutions for our customers.
As an Algorithms Senior Software Engineer, you will join fast-paced agile teams on the leading edge of technology. This role is designed for a professional with experience in developing and implementing algorithm software for both large-scale HPC environments and highly optimized, performant real-time applications. You will work alongside scientists, including physicists, mathematicians, and signal processing experts, to understand algorithm goals and limitations. Your work will involve evolving algorithms originating in Python and MATLAB into optimized C, C++, and CUDA code, while modeling and testing new algorithms in high-performance computing environments. You will architect, design, implement, test, and debug integrated real-time software within heterogeneous systems, contributing to product concepts, design reviews, and proposals. This position offers the opportunity to travel for customer collaboration and to support meaningful unclassified and collateral tasks while in the process of obtaining a DoD Top Secret clearance.
This position is onsite at our campus in Plano, TX. Applicants must be in the area or willing to relocate. As part of our commitment to maintaining a secure hiring process, candidates may be asked to attend select steps of the interview process in-person at one of our office locations.
This role requires an active and transferable U.S. government-issued Secret security clearance on day one. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance. The DCSA Consolidated Adjudication Services (DCSA CAS), an agency of the Department of Defense, handles and adjudicates the security clearance process.

Experience with product development utilizing the Scrum techniques of the Agile software development process. Hands-on experience with Git for version control and Gitlab/Jira for repository and issue management. Experience working with massively parallel code streams. Experience with optimized CUDA programming for Nvidia accelerators. Prior work in HPC environments. Experience with MATLAB, Python, and other analysis tools. Active and transferable U.S. government issued Top Secret security clearance.
