Oracle Health Platform Engineering builds the core platform capabilities that enable Oracle Health teams to deliver secure, scalable, and highly available services. We operate with an AI-first engineering culture, where engineers are expected to leverage AI-assisted approaches to accelerate delivery and improve quality across system design, coding, testing, documentation, and operations.
Only Oracle brings together the data, infrastructure, applications, and expertise to power everything from industry innovations to life-saving care. With AI embedded across our products and services, we help customers turn that promise into a better future for all. True innovation starts when everyone is empowered to contribute, which is why we are committed to growing a workforce that promotes opportunities for all.
We are seeking a Senior Software Developer (IC3) to design, develop, and operate backend services and platform components that improve developer productivity while strengthening platform security and reliability. In this role, you will partner with cross-functional stakeholders—including SRE/Operations, Security, Product, and other engineering teams—to deliver features end-to-end. Your day-to-day will involve clarifying requirements, creating technical designs, implementing solutions, and ensuring robust automated testing, deployment, and operational support.
A key differentiator for this position is the expectation to apply an AI-first mindset to your daily work. You will be responsible for generating and validating code suggestions, creating and maintaining tests, and improving observability and runbooks using AI tools, all while maintaining strong engineering judgment. You will also be expected to understand and follow enterprise security and privacy requirements when utilizing AI tooling to protect sensitive data.
The role is based in the United States and requires U.S. citizenship due to security clearance requirements. No visa sponsorship is available. Candidates must be able to obtain and maintain the required security clearance. The role will generally accept applications for at least three calendar days from the posting date or as long as the job remains posted.
