The organization provides specialized mental health services, treatment programs, and forensic evaluations throughout California. It supports critical public health and public safety initiatives through a network of state hospitals and administrative offices, leveraging technology to improve operational efficiency and service delivery.

About the Role

You will join a team dedicated to enhancing and maintaining an existing enterprise application used to manage complex case evaluation and business processes. This role focuses on supporting statewide operations and case management workflows, including case tracking, reporting, invoicing, and operational procedures. Rather than building a system from the ground up, you will drive modernization efforts, application enhancements, and reporting initiatives to increase efficiency and accounting visibility.

In this primarily remote capacity, you will collaborate with experienced development, QA, operations, and business teams within an Agile environment. Your work will directly impact the organization's ability to serve critical public health and forensic services programs. The position offers the potential for contract extensions beyond the initial 12-month engagement based on project needs and performance.

Work Environment

This is a full-time contract role with a primarily remote work model. Candidates must reside within the continental United States. While most work is performed remotely, occasional travel may be required, with expectations of up to two trips per quarter to various organizational offices and operational facilities throughout California.
