About the Role

The Senior Quality Engineer serves as a critical divisional resource, acting as the primary customer-facing representative for quality concerns across our automotive and industrial accounts. This role is designed to strengthen customer relationships by managing complex quality issues, ensuring timely containment, and driving sustainable corrective actions. You will lead root cause analysis efforts and support the preparation for IATF certification and customer audits, requiring the ability to navigate demanding customer environments and drive cross-functional problem-solving across the division.

In this position, you will supervise two non-exempt direct reports while frequently traveling to customer locations, primarily within the Midwest. The day-to-day involves facilitating structured root cause investigations using methodologies like 8D and 5 Why, leading corrective action implementations, and mentoring quality technicians. You will interface with engineering and manufacturing teams to ensure robust product quality during new product launches and drive continuous improvement initiatives using Six Sigma, Lean Manufacturing, and statistical process control tools.
