About the Role
We are seeking a Senior QA Automation Engineer to lead quality assurance efforts for our enterprise geospatial applications, data platforms, and cloud-based solutions. This role is critical for ensuring the accuracy and performance of complex GIS environments, specifically within the Utilities domain.
In this position, you will bridge the gap between technical development and business requirements. You will design and maintain scalable test automation frameworks using Python, validating everything from spatial data and maps to geospatial ETL processes and large-scale data migrations. Your work will directly impact the reliability of our geospatial services, APIs, and enterprise platforms, ensuring they meet the rigorous demands of utility operations.
The Day-to-Day
Your day will involve collaborating closely with GIS developers, data engineers, and product owners to define robust testing strategies. You will lead automation testing efforts for web applications and microservices, integrating test suites into CI/CD pipelines to support continuous testing practices. Beyond execution, you will perform root cause analysis on defects, participate in architecture reviews, and mentor junior QA engineers to promote automation best practices across the team.
